International students can apply for fully financed PhD scholarships from Prince of Songkla University (PSU) for the academic year 2024/2025. During the duration of the scholarship in Thailand, the scholarships will pay for the monthly allowance (currently 10,000 Baht) which covers housing and living expenses, tuition, and health and accident insurance coverage (90 US$).
The Prince of Songkla University (PSU) Faculty of Dentistry is aware of the critical role graduate education plays in laying the groundwork for original research and high-caliber publications.
Additionally essential to cross-border cooperation and academic globalization is a graduate program. PSU is pleased to announce the PSU-Faculty of Dentistry International Student Graduate Scholarships (PSU-Dent ISG Scholarships), which are intended to support, strengthen, and internationalize the graduate programs at the Faculty of Dentistry. The scholarships are intended for exceptional international students who wish to pursue graduate studies at the Faculty of Dentistry.

Scholarships Coverage
PhD Scholarships at Prince of Songkla University will pay for;
- The 10,000 Baht monthly allowance, which covers living expenses and housing
- The cost of tuition
- Up to 15,000 Baht, or roughly 450 US dollars, will be reimbursed for travel expenses to and from the home country at the start and end of the scholarship term, respectively
- Health and accident insurance coverage for the duration of the Thailand scholarship program (90 US dollars).
Qualifications for PhD Scholarships at Prince of Songkla University
In order to be eligible for a PhD scholarship from Prince of Songkla University, candidates must meet each of the standards listed below:
- English is the required language
- All countries across the world are eligible
- Students from abroad with strong academic records and research backgrounds
- Only incoming graduate students who plan to start classes at PS in semesters one or two are eligible
- The subject for which the prior degree was earned must coincide with and meet the curriculum requirements of the program.

The applicant needs to pass the following officially recognized English examination in order to be eligible:
A score of 60 on the PSU-TEP, 60 on the CU-TEP, or 500 on the paper-based TOEFL, 46 on the revised paper-delivered test, 520 on the institutional testing program, 173 on the computer-based test, or 61 on the internet-based test,-A 5.0 IELTS score.
The candidate cannot be the recipient of another scholarship that includes living expenses during the same period.
The scholar needs to have a non-immigrant “ED visa” (Study Permit) and be enrolled full-time in school. The scholar who is traveling to Thailand on a tourist visa is not permitted to enroll and risk having their scholarship revoked.
The student needs to put effort into both studying and completing the research thesis. Every six months, the scholar is required to report to the dentistry faculty on the status of their studies.

In the third semester, the scholar needs to pass the proposal exam. The student needs to put effort into their studies and research thesis.
The scholar must comply with the graduate criteria of each graduate school and publish his or her dissertation in at least two credible, peer-reviewed international journals that are indexed in Web of Science (with an ISI impact factor) in order to meet the scholarship criteria.
Scholars are expected to finish a program of study within the allotted time frame after being admitted; they are not permitted to switch to an alternative program of study once accepted.
The committee of each graduate program must notify the Faculty of Dentistry to cancel a scholarship if the scholar fails to make progress on their studies or thesis without a valid reason. Additional conditions as stipulated by the Faculty are applicable.
How Do I Apply for PhD Scholarships at Prince of Songkla University?

(1) Fill out your personal information by opening the form.
(2) After uploading the necessary files, complete the application and submit it:
- A copy of the certificate of English competence, valid for two years.
- CV, or Curriculum Vitae.
- An official transcript of records, including grades and an English grade point average, for bachelor’s and master’s degree programs.
- A purpose statement (approximately 800 words).
- Publications’ first page after publication.
- Summary and plan of the research.
- A duplicate of the primary passport page.
- A certified medical statement (in English).
Note: The total application amount is 640 baht, which includes an admission fee of 600 baht and a PayPal service charge of 40 baht. The 2C2P service fee is 20 baht (620 baht total application fee).
